The R&D Department at our HIPRA Campus in Aiguaviva (Girona) is actively seeking a highly skilled and driven R&D Researcher to join the Analytical Method Team for Human Health.
The selected candidate will play a key role in the analytical development of biochemical methods to evaluate protein quality attributes in accordance with pharmaceutical quality guidelines.
We are looking for candidates with:
- PhD or postdoc in Biological or Chemical Sciences
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in biopharmaceutical analytical development, working with biologics (monoclonal antibodies, recombinant proteins, vaccines)
- Proven expertise in biochemical and immunological analytical methods such as ELISA, BLI/SPR, binding/affinity assays, potency assays, or antibody structural characterization and also with complementary physico-chemical techniques (HPLC/UPLC, CE-SDS, cIEF, MS, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to design and execute analytical studies independently and translate findings into actionable conclusions.
- Proven ability to independently execute experimental protocols and meet project deadlines.
- Good communications skills, strong ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary group and with external partners and ability to perform verbal and written scientific data presentations.
- Proficiency level of spoken and written English for daily task development

Main Responsibilities
- Lead the development and validation of biochemical and immunological analytical methods for the characterization of Drug Substance and Drug Product, including ELISA, BLI/SPR, potency assays, binding/affinity assessments and antibody structural or functional analysis.
- Contribute to method lifecycle management, comparability and stability studies.
- Drive collaboration with internal development teams (Process Development, Formulation, QC, QA) to align analytical strategies with project needs and coordinate analytical activities with CROs.
- Generate and review high-quality technical documentation—including method development reports, validation protocols/reports, and regulatory-compliant documents.
- Ensure scientific rigor and operational excellence, with strong experimental design, systematic troubleshooting, clear result interpretation, and full adherence to data integrity and good documentation practices.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship within the team and actively contribute to problem solving and innovation in analytical development.
