At Hipra, we are actively searching for a new Area Sales Manager for Hipra India.

 

His/her mission is to manage the activities of the Sales Representative's network in order to achieve the business objectives, maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness in the assigned area.

 

The ideal candidate will be based in Pune and will be responsible for the West( Maharashtra, Gujrat, Central India (Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh) & Karnataka region, that represents significant potential for our business.

 

We are looking for people who:

  • Studies: Degree in Veterinary Medicine, Science or Business Administration.
  • Languages: Fluent communication skills in oral and written local language and good command of English
  • Work experience: 15+ years experience at sales level in the Animal Health sector, preferably in Biologicals + 5 years experience managing people.
  • Abilities: Great sense of responsibility, good negotiation skills, good communication skills. Great management skills. Good team player. Positive mindset. Oriented to results.

 

The main functions are:

  • Lead and oversee the performance of his/ her team by setting personal goals for each member and by tracking their activities in order to ensure that the Area targets are achieved.
  • Follow up on sales network’s performance, identifying individual or collective areas of improvement, acting on time in all of them
  • Identify recruitment and/or training needs and participate in the selection of your team.
  • Identify, classify and manage the accounts in your area.
  • Visit periodically and get familiar with the main accounts in the area
  • Take steps to achieve the sales budget in your area by proposing initiatives to both increase sales and to correct negative deviations on the budget.
  • Manage customer credit.
  • Strict control on collections.
  • Be responsible for the bottom line of your assigned area.
  • Set prices to customers according to the pricing and profitability policies and the Business Manager’s indications.
  • Negotiate and establish annual goals for customers and distributors.
  • Analyse the potential market.
  • Collect relevant market information to share it with the relevant business' Hipra departments.
  • Coordinate Hipra events with other relevant departments when required.
  • Identify Marketing and Technical Services needs in your area and coordinate with those departments accordingly.
  • Implement and follow up on set Marketing plans.
